Former Head of School Bob Riddle conceived of the Institute to provide more opportunities for students to develop as engaged citizens and to significantly bolster the School’s impact on the global community. Crossroads’ 校董会 approved the proposal in 2012 as part of the capital campaign Worlds Unimagined: The Campaign for Crossroads.
The Institute launched in 2018 with a mission to find meaningful solutions to the challenges our students will inherit, 包括种族歧视, 性别歧视, 贫困, 战争, 环境恶化, 教育不公平现象, 宗教迫害和种族灭绝.
